My Story
My Journey:
From Finance
to Founding
Ryse & Shyne
When I graduated from Boston University with a degree in Finance, I emerged with sharp analytical skills—and a quiet realization: My passion was never in spreadsheets. It was in storytelling, branding, and the creative pulse of human connection. Even then, I was drawn to the challenge of shaping narratives that move people. But like many, I chose the safe path first.
My career began at Accenture, a structured, fast-paced environment where I learned discipline, but felt disconnected. I was doing well, but not truly alive in the work. Trusting my instincts, I made a bold shift—stepping into the world of marketing at VML, the digital arm of Y&R. It felt like coming home. There, working with leading F&B brands, I saw the transformative power of authentic digital storytelling. Every campaign became an opportunity to connect—to evoke emotion, build trust, and spark action. My passion for branding found its footing.
Then came a defining chapter: Chief Marketing Officer at Halodoc.
This wasn’t just a job—it was a mission. I led the narrative transformation of a healthtech startup into a pioneering platform that reached millions across Indonesia. From building a team to raising $250 million in funding, the journey reaffirmed what I knew deep down: Strategic storytelling isn’t just compelling—it’s life-changing.
Today, I carry that belief into everything I do. As Founder & CEO of Ryse & Shyne, I’m building more than a brand—
I’m building a movement. A space where women feel seen, supported, and powerful in every season of their becoming. Ryse & Shyne blends wellness, branding, and intentional strategy—inviting women to rise gently, boldly, and fully as they are.
A Journey of Passion and Purpose
My personal journey toward discovering passion and purpose has been shaped by reflection, resilience, and a willingness to grow—even when it was uncomfortable. For much of my life, I measured success by how seamlessly I could hold it all together. But the turning point came after my time as Chief Marketing Officer at Halodoc.
Despite the external success, I felt an unexpected—and overwhelming—sense of loneliness. I was celebrated professionally, but privately, I struggled under the weight of maintaining an image that no longer felt real. That curated perfection, the mask of capability, slowly began to crack—and beneath it, I found the truth:
Fulfillment doesn’t come from flawless achievements. It comes from choosing to be real.
Letting Go of Perfect
I spent years trying to meet impossibly high expectations—both those I set for myself and the ones society quietly imposes. I chased excellence, built brands, and became known for delivering. But somewhere along the way, I lost touch with who I was when no one was watching.
The harder I tried to uphold the image, the more disconnected I became—from myself, and from others. It wasn’t until I allowed space for stillness and solitude that I realized:
Perfection isolates. Authenticity connects.
Finding My Way Back Through Mindfulness
Everything changed when I turned inward. Mindfulness and wellness weren’t trends to me—they became lifelines. I began nurturing my inner world with the same attention I gave to my career. Instead of hiding my fears and flaws, I met them with compassion.
It was in that quiet reckoning that I redefined strength—not as control, but as vulnerability, truth, and the willingness to be seen.
Leading with Realness
Today, I walk forward with more clarity, softness, and power than ever before.
Not because I’ve figured it all out—
But because I’ve finally accepted that I don’t need to.
By choosing authenticity over appearance, I’ve built deeper connections and created work that actually means something. I share my story not as a highlight reel, but as a mirror—for anyone navigating their own loneliness, self-doubt, or pressure to be “perfect.”
If that’s you:
You're not alone. You’re already rising—just by being honest with yourself.
